  • Buy this 3d printer kit if you want to print with ABS PLA plastic.
  • We have produced special PLA plastic mixes for smooth printing.
  • The build area is about mm 200x 200mm with a maximum height of 100 + mm (to be confirmed-as we are developing a shorter print head…).
  • Printing speed can be adjusted- so we can extract the best performance from inexpensive, but suitable components.
  • Accuracy of print is good […but actual  accuracy fully depends upon the limitations of your own skill level. When we build them we easily  get 0.1 mm accuracy].
  • Prusa can be calibrated to around 0.2mm +-0.2mm accuracy!…but it depends on your skills…
  • Extruder size is 0.35mm.
  • Gen6 electronics.
  • A major advantage of this model lies in its flexibility and ability to experiment with the set-up. It is future proof because components are easily unscrewed and new ideas/developments screwed on.
  • The educational value derived from buying and building the Prusa Explorer in kit form is immeasurable!
  • Building 3d-printed, real objects, may take a few days weeks or months- pending on your skills.
  • This model is the cheapest in our range. However, we have developed the reprap design to produce a 3d-print you will be proud to use and show your friends and clients.

*Please note that our kits are always shipped with the latest innovations fitted.

We aim for the best print quality, fasted possible print speed and reliability.

Some parts may therefore vary from items shown in pictures or spec sheets. Reprap based 3D printers are an emerging technology.

Our systems can be upgraded by adding features as they become available. Printing stuff in 3D is far from a simple consumer experience. You need skills in CAD design, 3D print preparation and learn how to optimise the system settings to achieve top print results. If you want easy 3d prints and do not want to learn these skills, then simply pay a 3d print company $5-20K for every design and $50-$500 per print.

We however assemble our kits to cater for tech savvy students, designers, inventors and hobbyists who want to print stuff that gets close or equal to comparable, professional 3d printers, using smarts, a little tweaking and printing experience.
