Meet MORI, the 3D Printed Folding Bike

Invented by designer Janus Yuan, the MORI Folding Bike is a concept bike created with the aim of being the super cool bike of the future. According to American statistics, women constitute a mere 25% of bicycle riders in cities. This is mainly due to the fact that most of the bicycles that are designed today are done so with existing cyclists in mind, few of which are for non-riders and city-based women. According to Yuan, bicycles for female riders should be easy to use, versatile, beautiful, light in weight and small enough for the rider to carry and store away.

It is for this reason that Yuan invented the MORI folding bike. While the concept bike is still on paper and yet to be put into production, it is intended to expand the market of potential bike riders, in particular within urban settings where city dwellers would find a compact bike very practical. Through the use of 3D printing technology, riders are able to design the final look of their 3D printed MORI bike, as well as select their favorite color, texture and preferred pattern or style. Female riders should therefore find the functionality of this 3D printable folding bicycle very appealing.
