Shapeit, a startup based in Vancouver, Canada has just launched a crowd funding campaign in which gamers are able to give life to their favorite game characters in the form of 3D printed figurines shipped directly to their doorstep. Gamers often spend a lot of time customizing their game characters to perfection using upgrades, as well as in-app purchases. Gamers also enjoy producing cool looking character art that looks great as figurines placed atop their desks. However, these tend to remain unavailable for purchase. Smaller figurines are in one color of your choice or entirely plain, and suitable for board gaming. The larger figurines are full-colored and ideal for use as props.

Shapeit, a team of talented and passionate developers and 3D-designers are currently developing a unique in-game API for game developers. This effort will allow gamers to select, customize, order and manufacture their very own real-life 3D printed figurines. As part of their efforts to crowd fund for this project, campaign supporters are able to order their own custom 3D-figurine in various options and sizes. Supporters can then provide a series of specifications and screenshots that will enable them to immortalize their favorite game characters by directly pledging their support to the developer.
